My first ever experience of being an Assistant Director. About me
I've been moving about and around film production for more than 10 years. My first more serious encounter with film and television work was at just 15 years old, when I started attending Secondary Technical School of Communications. Absolutely amazed by the Czech New Wave Cinema of the 1960s, I was focusing mainly on editing work back then.
As I grew older, I started realizing that sitting at the end of the production chain wasn't really the right path for me. I wanted to make good use of my natural strengths, such as good organizational skills, strong decision-making and working with people on a more personal level. I was fortunate to get the opportunity to try and use these abilities at a music video shoot for one of the biggest Czech artists at that time — that time being the year of 2020.
Since then, I've been actively nurturing my skill set as an AD on both commercial and non-commercial projects, working closely mainly with my home production company Seeya.
Throughout the years, I've gathered numerous experiences working with various Czech and foreign production companies and creators, leading anywhere from miniature teams of 5 up to 100 people on set. I have practice working with motion control, heavy VFX setups, big dance scenes, child actors and non-actors, animals, practical special effectsand much more. And I'd be happy to make that list even longer together!
